What You Will Do​

  • Optimize Data Architecture: Design and refine data architecture to scale effectively for 100 million patients while ensuring top-tier performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.
  • Provide Technical Expertise: Deliver guidance on database technologies, sharding strategies, regional load balancing, and international data sovereignty to meet organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Partners: Work closely with key enterprise partners to align technical solutions with business requirements and priorities.
  • Influence Technical Leadership: Be a pivotal voice in shaping project strategies and decisions, contributing to our long-term growth and success.
  • Foster Team Culture: Help nurture an innovative, collaborative, and excellence-driven team culture as we continue to expand.

About You​

  • Education: Hold a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Have 5+ years of expertise in developing and scaling data platforms and distributed systems.
  • Attitude: Possess a proactive, hands-on approach with a strong passion for scalability and high availability.
  • Location: Based in the Dublin or Galway area, ready for twice-weekly in-person collaboration.

Bonus Qualifications​

  • FHIR Knowledge: Familiarity with HL7 FHIR standards.
  • Tech Stack Expertise: Experience with AWS, Node.js, Postgres, and TypeScript.
  • Distributed Databases: Proficiency in at least one distributed database such as CockroachDB, Yugabyte, or Citus.
  • Startup/Big Tech Experience: Previous experience at an early-stage startup or in a large tech company.
